Our Unique Model
Ethos Academy is a hybrid homeschooling educational program and ministry operating under Ethos Ministries Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We partner with the homeschooling community, providing a Christian homeschool experience. We feature PreK-12th grade core and elective classes in an a-la-carte university model. We provide non-faith based classes that are public and charter school friendly and faith-based classes. Parents can pick and choose classes that best fit the needs of their family. Classes meet either once or twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) for one or several hours. Our ministry allows parents to drop off their students on campus. Whether you are coming from a tradition school model it being public or private or with a co-op we have something for everyone. Our purpose and intent is to raise up and to empower the next generation of children to fulfill their individual God-given purposes and to become leaders in their community.
Ethos Academy believes in partnering with parents in their homeschooling journey. We do this by selecting qualified, God-fearing, and passionate educators who have a heart to minister and teach children who are also aligned with our core values. All of our teachers are independent contractors who will run their own classes as their own businesses following Ethos Academy's Mission, Vision, and Core Values. These talented independently contracted teachers are vetted and background checked with Ethos Academy and have various backgrounds from credentialed teachers to professionals who are knowledgeable in their industry.
Ethos Academy is a community partnership that relies heavily on parent involvement. To successfully operate, we require all families to serve 12 hours each semester on campus in various roles from aiding in the classroom, monitoring the hallways, lunch supervisor, perimeter monitor, or various other types of designated on campus roles. (There are a few roles that can be fulfilled remotely, but require Director approval) Learn more on the Before You Register tab under Join.
